NEUBILD

Art Basel

Rachel Whiteread's sculpture "Untitled (Upstairs)" (2001) on view at Art Basel Unlimited. By focusing

on the spaces inside and around objects and

architectural features, Whiteread renders

negative space as sculptural form; the void

beneath the staircase has been rendered impenetrable, while the edifice has been rotated on its axis, seeming to defy gravity.

Gagosian

In this Session, pianist and composer Jason Moran performs a contemporary jazz reinterpretation

of the 1919 song "All of No Man's Land Is Ours" inside Ellen Gallagher's solo exhibition of the same title at the Stedelijk Museum, Amsterdam.

"The Future of Life" is a film capturing the essence of The Sunrise Sings, an exhibition curated by Chus Martínez that opened at Tarmak22, showing works by six young artists with ties to Switzerland: Charlotte Herzig, Kaspar Ludwig & Ambra Viviani, Gil Pellaton, Claudia Comte, and Katrin Niedermeier.

The exhibition was produced by Tarmak22 in collaboration with Institut Kunst, Basel.
